Made my first internet $

I’m not exaggerating at all when I say this..

but the last few weeks felt really bad

everything I was trying → failed

and nothing really worked out

and I was really scared of not having any content this month

all was the same

until

1:07 PM, April 15

(a time I’ll be remembering for a long time <3)

some reference to the newbies here,

a hi from this side. I’m Kanishka, a 13 yo who has been trying to build myself online in a bunch of platforms

and this month?

I had a simple goal

get my first dollar online

so, I tried just 2 things

If you check my last issue you’ll have known a lot about what all happened when I tried newsletter ghost writing

(summary - It didn’t go well)

I quit it for some time, and made a small 8-page guide on April 11

(check it out here)

So now it was April 15, and I had just talked to 2 people about it in the comment section of X (twitter)

it was, I remember science period, I was in online class

and I was just scrolling through X, saw this one dude who was talking about reddit

replied something to him, and we had about 4 comments going until I told him about my guide

and this is what he replied:

to be honest, I really did think he’ll just leave it and continue doing his work

but, on 1:07 pm (2 minutes after that reply) I saw this notification

MY FIRST INTERNET DOLLAR!!!!

I’m not going to be joking at all now, but the feeling I had right after seeing that?

its just..

soo much better than having a bf, and i’m not lying

that was the text I sent to one of my friend after I received it,

and you can clearly see how happy I was..

and even when writing about it now, I have some insane goosebumps and a big smile

this whole 0.99?

it’s nothing about the money..

nothing can be done with a few cents

But it was all I needed to see the internet in a different way

and actually, the next day (April 16)

I CLOSED MY FIRST NEWSLETTER GHOSTWRITING CLIENT!!

(i’m not working with him at the time i’m writing this, realized something way more important)

I’ll break what actually happened, and a core realization, which I believe is a really important thing that’s going to help me in all aspects of my life in the next newsletter issue

but to reach their, there was 2 other high prospects I messed up

so here’s a case study of what I did wrong in the dm’s and what I would do instead

I MADE ANOTHER SALE!

I really have no idea where he came from, but hey I was happy!

And for May, I got some stuff planned.

In brief, growing this teeny tiny newsletter + working on myself a lot.

and all i can say is, there’s some fire content coming up

And actually, If you ask me what I was stupid of throughout?

its.. complicating everything

I made a SaaS, I was writing content, I was creating vids, I was doing a lot of stuff not going to lie

(but mind me, I learnt a lot)

but, one thing I forgot?

charging for it

I didn’t put a price tag for anything I did.

so yeah, make sure you simplify stuff and put a price on it

(I’m not anyone who has done some big shit in life, but yeah. This is what I have learnt this far, and any criticism is welcome)
